Seborrheic keratosis (a.k.a. barnacles) is a harmless benign growth on your skin. This happens when extra skin cells bunch up together on the top layer of skin (a.k.a. epidermis). They can appear later in life, after about age 40 and can show up anywhere except your palms and soles. Sebrrheic keratosis most likely happen on the face, scalp, chest, shoulders, belly, or back. Over time, they tend to become scaly and thick, like melted candle wax stuck to your skin.

Skin tags are a small flap of tissue that hangs off the skin by a connecting stalk. They are not dangerous and are usually found on the neck, chest, back, eyelids, armpits, under the breasts, or in the groin area. They appear most often in women, especially with weight gain, and in people in middle age and older. Skin tags usually don't cause any pain, but they can become irritated by clothing, jewelry, or skin rub against them.

Cherry angiomas are smooth, cherry-red bumps on the skin and are easy to spot. They can be different colours, including red, blue, or purple. The size of the growths can vary from the size of a pinhead to about a quarter-inch in diameter. Although cherry angiomas usually appear on the trunk of the body, they can pop up nearly anywhere.

Milia are tiny white or yellowish bumps (pimples or cysts) on your eyelids, nose, chin, or cheeks. They can happen on infants’ faces but can appear on anyone. They look similar to whiteheads (which are a form of acne) but they aren't acne and aren't uncomfortable.

Spider veins are smaller, red, purple, and blue vessels that tend to twist and turn and look like a spider’s web or tree branch. Spider veins are easily visible through the skin. They affect the body’s smallest blood vessels, the capillaries. Spider veins, which are red or blue. They are typically visible on the legs and face.

Sunspots are dark-colored, flat, rounded spots or hyperpigmentated skin blemishes that can develop on areas of sun-exposed skin, such as the face, hands, arms, shoulders, back and feet. Sunspots are benign and not a sign of cancer. Treatments may help fade or remove them.

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPN) is a skin condition that typically appears as small, dark, or skin-colored bumps on the face, neck, and upper torso. Some people only develop a few bumps, while others have many bumps covering large parts of their skin. DPN primarily affects peoples of African and Asian descent and tends to run in families.‌

Dermoscopy is the use of a hand-held magnifying device called a dermatoscope (a.k.a. Dermlite) to visualize magnified features of pigmented and non-pigmented skin lesions that are not seen by the naked eye.

Sebaceous hyperplasia happens when your sebaceous oil glands make too much oil that gets trapped under your skin and causes bumps. It is caused by clogged hair follicles that can get clogged if you have too many, or overactive sebaceous glands making more oil than your skin need.  Most commonly found on the face.
